The MTR's Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong lines offer you a choice of conveniently timed Intercity Through Trains between Hong Kong and the Mainland.

If you are travelling to or from Hung Hom and Guangzhou East, you can choose from 12 Through Trains each way daily. The total journey time is around 1 hour and 50 minutes and 10 round trips of them stop at Dongguan (Changping). One of the services calls at Foshan and terminates at Zhaoqing, a total journey time of about 4 hours.

Through Trains to and from Beijing West and Shanghai run from Hung Hom on alternate days. Their respective journey times are approximately 23.5 hours (Beijing) and 18.5 hours (Shanghai).
