TraxComm offers a low investment option for retail telecommunication service providers in Hong Kong by providing wholesale bandwidth services. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of MTR Corporation Ltd, TraxComm built its wholesale bandwidth services in 2003 by tapping into the 10,000 km-core fibers and telecommunication infrastructure already set up throughout the MTR system.



TraxComm aims to provide service to fixed network operators, mobile carriers, internet service providers, data centers and international carriers. TraxComm's network is expandable to cover buildings within 0.5km radius of all MTR stations, covering nearly all business centers and around 40% of residential population in Hong Kong. The company also plans to cover 200 high bandwidth buildings including data centers and class-A buildings.
