As the foundation to how we deliver services, we work under the culture expressed in our MTR Diamond Vision. Susatainable Competitive Advantage

The framework of sustainable competitive advantage drives our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) strategy and stakeholder engagement process. Corporate strategy combines with these actions to collectively drive performance management. The Materiality Map graphically explains this operating framework in action.

The Corporations's Maturity Matrix provides us the road map for future actions in integrating sustainability principles into operations. This matrix measures performance over time through a self-assessment of characteristics identified under the BS8900:2006 Guidance Standard for Managing Sustainable Development. In reviewing of our progress, our focus in 2007 is on building capability amongst staff. The Steering Committee(Sustainability and CSR) is tasked with the development of the relevant programmes to improve this area of our sustainable development journey.
